Sometimes some phones powered by Windows Mobile smartphone edition (and thus not equipped with touch screen) have some unique features not available in Symbian phones or are simply so brilliant:

Next up is the scroll wheel that has more uses that duct tape. The scroll wheel functions as just that, a scroll wheel. If you push the wheel in, it makes a selection. If you hold it down, it brings up a nifty quick launcher that will launch apps, URLs, etc. Under the scroll wheel is the back button. I think we could do without it, but I can see it as useful for those that read a lot of webpages and ebooks using scroll wheel to navigate.

Commentary: while we know that many people in USA are used to having a touch screen in a smartphone - mainly due to the fact that Treo smartphones with touch screen have been so wildly popular in USA over many years - we wholeheartedly agree with author of above review and we would like to ask everybody who says “touch screen is a must have feature for me” to reconsider! Phones powered by Windows Mobile smartphone edition are usually smaller than Pocket PC phone edition phones and having a wheel usually more than makes up for the lack of touch screen…
