MobileBurn reviews the LG VX8500 and writes, “While it doesn’t take stellar quality photos, the camera is pretty good and will satisfy most people looking to capture a random moment. The automatic white balance system seems to work very well and shouldn’t require being changed to one of the manual settings all that often. The VX8500’s camera can capture photos at resolutions ranging from 1280×960 all the way down to 160×120. There is also a brightness setting as well as some simple color effects and a night mode. A self timer function is also available to aid in taking group photos when you want to be in the photo.”
